What's a Vietnamese Iced Coffee?
Overview
Vietnamese iced coffee uses dark
roast coffee and condensed milk to create an intensely strong and satisfyingly sweet coffee drink. The process involves a slow drip through a metal filter—known as a phin—and the ice is added in the last step.

Brewing a cup
First, sweetened condensed milk is added to an empty glass (remember, the ice bit is at the end)
Next, the coffee is loaded into a metal filter—called a phin—and dripped slowly to preserve its rich, intense, and sweet flavor.
After the coffee has finished brewing, it's stirred and poured over ice.
